We are excited to announce the arrival of AMTS.Dairy on Oct. 20, 2009.
This new program will be released during the 2009 Cornell Nutrition Conference Pre-Conference Symposium in Syracuse NY.
AMTS.Dairy is an exciting development for the current CPM Dairy user. Here is why....
Many CPM users have been wondering what the future of CPM Dairy is. As the first license holder (and long time modelers and developers), we took it upon ourselves to address this issue. The academic institutions involved have decided that it was time to get out of the software business and focus on research. This is the correct decision as research dollars are shrinking and what is available needs to be dedicated to improving the biological model. Rest assured, while the CPM Dairy name will not continue, the software is not dead. While several implementations of the CNCPS exist around the world, only AMTS LLC has decided to offer a version similar to CPM Dairy. There are some differences though!
1. AMTS.Dairy is multi-group
2. AMTS.Dairy allows electronic feed analysis importing
3. AMTS.Dairy is designed to be integrated with all AMTS products allowing data exchange with other software packages
4. Using the latest software development tools, AMTS.Dairy is poised to take advantage of today's processors and graphics. You will see some layout changes because of these new tools.
5. AMTS.Dairy is multi-lingual
6. AMTS.Dairy handles the file saving and all file management chores for you!
7. AMTS.Dairy includes the current CNCPS v. 6.1 biology and will continue to update the biological model as new research is conducted.
8. AMTS.Dairy handles mixes differently. You will always get the same answers whether or not a mix exists or not!
9. Since AMTS.Dairy is multi-group, the feeds available on-farm can be used between groups. No more having to change the feed analysis for each group due to different files!
As with all AMTS products:
1. files can be shared between users,
2. CPM Dairy files can be imported,
3. the only domestic vendor that offers training by Practicing Nutritionists,
4. automatic updates to the software and feed library (requires internet connection),
5. a commitment to the animal feed industry, and
6. unmatched support.
