AMTS.Cattle.Pro within a company is aimed at the technical team and/or advanced field nutritionists. It provides the most flexibility and power.
From a technical nutritionists point of view, AMTS.Cattle.Pro serves as the integration point between AMTS.MMS and AMTS.Cattle.
Using the feed libraries created with AMTS.MMS, the technical nutritionist can use .Cattle.Pro either to formulate, evaluate field nutritionists files (tech support), or to create/maintain “Template Files”.
A Template File created by .Cattle.Pro is designed to be used by either .Cattle. It contains defaults for locations (barns), feeds (forages, grains, composites, minerals, etc. available in the mill or as commodities within your geographical region), cattle groups, and rations (these can be pre-optimized). The template file can be time sensitive so that feeds, environmental inputs, and pricing can be easily updated by the field nutritionist. And, you can have as many templates as you want! Create one for pasture dairy farms, free-stalls, dry-lots, cow/calf, heifers, feedlots, etc. Be creative. We know all farms are not the same. Neither are geographical regions nor environmental parameters! Multiple mills? No problem. Create template files using the ingredients specific to each mill.
When you create a template file with .Cattle.Pro, all you need to do next is email it to your .Cattle users. They load it and can update information in their files with a simple mouse click.
